Viafluor CFSE

Viafluor CFSE (Ex-Max 495 nm/Em-Max 515 nm)

Viafluor CFSE (CFDA-SE) is a fluorogenic, cell-permeant probe used in live-cell applications to assess cell health, for long term cell tracking or proliferation assays. CFDA-SE loads the cell passively but is retained once internalized by the subsequent esterase activity and conjugation of the succinimidyl ester moiety to intracellular amine-containing proteins and peptides.

Frequently asked questions

What is Viafluor CFSE?
Viafluor CFSE (CFDA-SE) is a fluorogenic, cell-permeant probe used in live-cell applications to assess cell health, for long term cell tracking or proliferation assays. CFDA-SE loads the cell passively but is retained once internalized by the subsequent esterase activity and conjugation of the succinimidyl ester moiety to intracellular amine-containing proteins and peptides.
What laser excites Viafluor CFSE?
Viafluor CFSE is optimally excited by the 488 laser line. Its excitation maximum is 495 nm.
What filter should I use to detect Viafluor CFSE?
A 515/30 filter captures the peak of the Viafluor CFSE emission near 515 nm with minimal spillover.
